A Writer Writes

A writer writes, or so they tell us. They forgot to add in the fact that a fiction writer is haunted by their characters day and night, and that they are unable to keep up with all the story lines in their head.

I just sent Imperfect to VHP for editing this week. I have to get started on its sequel, and a certain someone who shall remain nameless (you know who you are!) encouraged me to write a suspense book. Me? I didn't think I had it in me. Then, I looked at pictures of Jason Statham. I'm a visual person, and this is not the first time a movie person has stirred me to write.

Well, lo and behold, I'm typing the hours away on a new suspense book! Thank you, Mr. Statham.

Obviously, it's very early on. This book may never see publication, VHP and I have NOT discussed anything regarding this concept. For right now, they and I are focused on Imperfect and the sequel.

I'll tell you, though, between JUST finishing Imperfect, needing to continue that story line, and now this new one, I am a writing fiend! It's insane! LOL. It's extremely difficult for my little fingers to keep up with the images and movies that play in my mind.

I didn't have this problem when I was a non-fiction/historical writer. Now I remember why I gave up writing fiction in the first place! LMAO.

If nothing else, it's a new endeavor for me, and I'm excited to see where it may lead ;)

"a fiction writer is haunted by their characters day and night", what a terrific quote! (I posted it to Twitter I love it so much)
